PeakPaw started with a very simple mission: to find a chew that was genuinely good enough for the dogs we love. Like many dog owners, I spent years looking at pet shop shelves, feeling overwhelmed by artificial ingredients, chemical processing, and treats that vanished in a matter of minutes.

As a passionate dog lover, I wanted better for my dog - and everything changed when we discovered traditional Himalayan yak milk chews.

Seeing how much my own dog loved these incredibly durable, all-natural treats was a turning point. They weren’t just long-lasting; they were clean, nutrient-dense, and entirely free from artificial junk. I knew this was something worth sharing. Intended to survive brutal, high-altitude mountain winters, the rich milk was smoke-dried for months until it became an extraordinarily dense, long-lasting cheese.

This superfood wasn’t just for people. Legendary mountain Sherpas embarking on treacherous expeditions always packed these rugged cheese blocks to sustain themselves - and they always shared them with their loyal expedition dogs. It provided their dogs with a vital source of survival protein, kept them focused, and naturally cleaned their teeth during long journeys through the peaks.
